Important information

A warm welcome! These pages contain the most important information about the start of your studies, which you can work through step by step. Plan some time for this. In any case, you should fill out the registration for the orienteering phase directly. This takes place in the first week of the semester. In addition to a lot of information directly from us, you will also find numerous links to other pages and offers, some of which are presented on this page.

Enrollment

If you want to start in one of the Bachelor's degree programmes in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (German, ETIT) or Sustainable Energy Systems (German, NES), you must of course enrol in the programme.

The two Bachelor's programmes are open-admission programmes, which means there is no NC and no application, but with your Abitur you can be sure of a place directly.

You can always start your studies in the winter term, i.e. on 1 October. However, you should also plan time for the pre-course in September and a little preparation.

Please note that the standard enrolment deadline is 30 September. You can find everything on the university's page on dates and deadlines.

The most important in brief

On the following pages, we as the student council want to convey what we think is necessary for you to have a good start to your studies. Three of the most important points can be found here, if you don't have the time to go through the pages at your leisure:

  • After enrolment, it is particularly important to set up your university account so that you can access all of the university's platforms.
  • To refresh your maths knowledge, we recommend that you attend the pre-course math, which you can still register for after you have started.
  • The most important event directly before the start of your studies is the orienteering phase, which we organise for you as the student council and at which we get to know you and all the other first-semester students.  Though if it is in German, your German does not have to be perfect at for event - just ask if anything isn't clear. So attendance is highly recommended. To participate, you have to register.
  • These pages are not aimed at students of Automation and Robotics. However, they contain a lot of general information and are therefore also worthwhile for A&R students. So please forgive if it is not always geared to A&R.

Further important pages

You can find a lot of official information on the homepage of the ETIT faculty. There you will find important documents about your degree programme, such as the module handbook, current timetables and the examination regulations. Before you start your studies, you may also want to take a look around to see which individual topics are covered by the various groups within the faculty. You will also return to this page again and again later on, so it is a must in your browser's bookmark list.

The "Organization of Studies" section on the TU's page summarises many aspects, which are of course so general that they apply to all degree programmes. However, it is always worth taking a look at these pages.

You've probably already thought that you'll always be able to find lots of news on the  TU's Homepage.

Von Anfang an richtig (german)

As the lecture series will be in German, we have not translated the advertisement for it either. It will certainly be interesting in terms of language and content!
