Informal Platforms

There are also a number of informal platforms that accompany you in your everyday study life. This is all voluntary, but it can make your studies a lot easier.

Messenger

An official group is set up for each semester, for which we use WhatsApp as a common system. As administrators, we moderate the group to keep you up to date and to make sure that the group is not used too much. You will be invited to this group during the orientateering week.

Mail Distribution List

Job advertisements, current unofficial information and occasionally teachers also use the distribution list to draw attention to new modules. Only messages checked by the mail admin are sent, so you can expect no spam.

You can find more information and the link on our more detailed page about the mailing list. The system is a bit older.

Discord

The student body has its own Discord server, which you can use to get in touch with each other and ask questions. You can find the access data in the Moodle room of the student council. If you want to use the Discord server during the preliminary course, send us an email.

Instagram

Getting Everything information at university can sometimes be quite difficult. You can get a lot of information on a daily basis in your Insta-Feed - so take a look at the following channels:

  • fset_tudortmund
    ("Fachschaft" Student Body)
  • etit_tudortmund
    ("Fakultät" Department)
  • tu_dortmund
    (TU Dortmund University)
  • astatudortmund
    ("AStA" General Student Commitee)
