2026 Orientation

Every year, the orientation day takes place in the week before lectures begin. The orientation day is organized by us as the student council - that is, by students for students. You will get to know the campus, have the opportunity to make contacts and receive all the important information about studying. We will provide food, drinks and a pleasant atmosphere. This year, the orientation day will be held on April 9th 2026 at the start of the summer semester. Please register for this in advance!

We need your registration for our planning. You can send this in even if you have not yet enrolled at the university.

Notes on the procedure

10:30 a.m.: Meet in the Physics Courtyard (in front of the P1 Physics Building)

11:00 a.m.: Presentation “Survival Guide to College Life” in Lecture Hall Building 2, Lecture Hall 6 (HG2 HS6)

1:00 p.m.: Group lunch in the cafeteria

2:00 p.m.: Campus tour (starting in front of the cafeteria building)

3:00 p.m.: Department tours

4:00 p.m.: Group barbecue with other master’s students

Important information

Complete the official enrollment at the university as soon as possible so that you can use the semester ticket during the orientation day and leave your car at home. The ticket is valid from April 1st and therefore already on the orientation day.
Some lectures during the orientation day contain interactive elements for which you will need internet access. Unfortunately, the mobile network in the lecture halls is very poor, which is why we ask you to prepare for registration in the campus WLAN (eduroam).
